Living beings
A film by Christophe Loizillon – 48 mn – 2014
Still frames
Synopsis
This film combines long shots of men, animals and plants. It is a portrayal of living beings’ cohabitation. Man’s awareness as a living being among living beings is thinning down. Little by little, we have stopped to view animals and plants as actually living. These cinematographic haikus tell the story of two snails crossing a road, of a baby and of a physiotherapist, of two ripening tomatoes, of a cow, of a sobbing body and of flowers both in the city and in the countryside.
